Brand new from the ground up, the CBR500R FOUR brings the unmistakable sound and feel of an inline-four to a new generation of riders. Inspired by the legendary CB400 SUPER FOUR, it combines an all-new high-revving 502cc four-cylinder engine with a steel diamond frame, KYB USD forks and twin radial-mount calipers. Honda E-Clutch comes as standard, alongside five riding modes, HSTC and a 5-inch TFT with full connectivity. Screaming to a 12,500rpm redline, this is the middleweight sports bike that makes every ride an event.
All-new 500cc inline-four engine
Four cylinders, 16 valves and a redline at 12,500rpm. A ram-air-fed downdraft intake and 4-2-1 exhaust help deliver 53kW of high-revving performance, with a soundtrack to match. Ni-SiC plated cylinder walls and DLC-coated valve lifters keep friction low and response sharp.
Honda E-Clutch as standard
Unique to Honda, E-Clutch lets you pull away, shift and stop using just the gear pedal – no clutch lever required. Auto-blip downshifts keep things smooth and composed, and you can choose from Hard, Medium or Soft shift-pedal feel to suit your style. You can’t stall, traffic is easier, and if you want to use the clutch? Go right ahead.
Five riding modes
Throttle By Wire brings Standard, Sport and Urban modes, plus two User modes where you can set your own Engine Power, Engine Brake and HSTC levels. Whether you’re commuting or carving through the corners, there’s a setting for every ride.
Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC)
HSTC smoothly manages rear wheel traction, wet or dry, while wheelie control keeps the front end where it belongs. More confidence, more grip and more fun.
Sports bike chassis
A steel diamond frame uses the engine as a stressed member for a tight, agile feel. Up front, 41mm KYB USD forks, with an aluminium Pro-Link swingarm and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Sharp steering geometry and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres make it a joy to ride on any road.
Powerful, confident braking
Dual 296mm front discs with Nissin radial-mount calipers deliver strong, precise stopping power, backed up by two-channel ABS for added peace of mind.
Full colour 5-inch TFT screen
Using optically bonded layers to stay clear in bright sunlight, the 5-inch TFT offers three display styles – Bar, Circle and Simple – all controlled by a backlit 4-way toggle switch on the left handlebar.
